Behind the Scenes: Building Our New Sand Springs Clinic
Something is happening on Plaza Court in Sand Springs. Construction crews are working. Equipment is being staged. And a community that has been underserved by specialized auto accident care for far too long is about to get access to the kind of comprehensive, dedicated recovery services that have made Tulsa Accident Care Center the most trusted name in post-accident care across Green Country.
We signed our lease. Build-out is underway. And we are opening in May 2026.
Here is a look at what is happening behind the scenes, why Sand Springs, and what this new clinic will mean for drivers and families across the western Tulsa corridor.
Why Sand Springs? The Data Tells the Story
Expanding to Sand Springs was not a spontaneous decision. It has been on our radar for nearly two years, driven by a simple and important reality: West Tulsa and the surrounding communities have long lacked a dedicated, integrated auto accident injury clinic.
Sand Springs sits at the convergence of two of the region’s busiest corridors, US-412 (the Sand Springs Expressway) and Highway 97. These roads carry daily commuter traffic, heavy commercial trucking, and recreational travelers heading to Keystone Lake. That kind of high-volume traffic activity is directly correlated with car accident injury demand. The population catchment area for this location spans approximately 70,000 residents across Sand Springs, Prattville, Mannford, West Tulsa, Berryhill, Sapulpa, and communities in Creek, Pawnee, and Osage counties.
Tulsa County consistently ranks among the highest in Oklahoma for traffic crashes. The Oklahoma Highway Safety Office reports that motor vehicle crashes remain one of the leading causes of injury and death statewide, with rear-end collisions, intersection crashes, and distracted driving incidents making up the majority of injury-producing events on urban and suburban corridors like those serving Sand Springs daily.
Prior to this clinic opening, those injured patients had two options: travel 20 to 25 minutes into Tulsa to access comprehensive accident care or settle for alternatives that were not built for accident recovery. Those alternatives include emergency rooms designed for acute trauma, urgent care clinics without the specialization to manage musculoskeletal injury patterns from vehicle crashes, chiropractors without integrated diagnostics or physician oversight, and standalone physical therapy offices without the capacity to coordinate full accident recovery care.
None of them offer what Tulsa Accident Care Center offers: a single, coordinated, physician-led system built entirely around motor vehicle accident victims.
What We Are Building: Facility Details
The Sand Springs location is being built out at 514 Plaza Court, Sand Springs, OK 74063, a site positioned conveniently near major arterials and accessible from multiple directions across the western Tulsa metro.
The clinic will occupy approximately 3,383 square feet, purpose-designed to serve accident patients from the moment they walk through the door.
Approximately six exam rooms will give our clinical team the capacity to evaluate, treat, and follow patients through their recovery without the wait times or bottlenecks that make other care settings frustrating for injured patients.
Every design decision in this clinic was made with auto accident patients in mind. People recovering from car crashes often arrive with neck injuries, back pain, limited mobility, or elevated stress following a traumatic event. The last thing they need is an environment that adds friction.
Key design elements include:
Close, ADA-accessible parking.
Patients with cervical or lumbar injuries should not have to walk across a large lot to reach the door. Our parking is positioned to minimize distance from vehicle to entrance, with fully barrier-free access throughout.
A supportive, calm waiting environment.
Comfortable seating options, deliberate lighting, and a welcoming atmosphere are intentional choices. An accident patient in pain deserves a space that puts them at ease, not one that adds anxiety.
A streamlined interior layout.
The clinic is designed so that the path from check-in to exam room to therapy space is short and logical. Patients do not need to navigate a maze when they are already managing pain and stress.
Private, quiet exam rooms.
Evaluating crash injuries and discussing treatment plans requires confidentiality and focus. Our exam rooms are designed to give providers and patients the environment to do that well.
Coordinated imaging.
While advanced imaging including MRI and CT scanning is performed at our primary Tulsa location on East 71st Street, the Sand Springs clinic is built to coordinate those services seamlessly. A patient evaluated in Sand Springs who needs advanced imaging receives a smooth, connected transition, not a disconnected referral.
Transportation assistance.
We recognize that many accident patients lack reliable transportation, especially in the days and weeks following a crash when their vehicle may be totaled or undergoing repair. We offer transportation assistance to and from appointments when needed, removing a barrier that often causes patients to skip follow-up care and compromise their recovery.
The Services Coming to Sand Springs
Tulsa Accident Care Center in Sand Springs will offer a comprehensive suite of accident recovery services all under one roof. This is not a partial menu. It is the integrated care model that makes TACC different from any other option in this region.
Comprehensive provider evaluation is where every patient journey begins. A licensed provider assesses the full scope of crash-related injury, develops a documented treatment plan, and serves as the clinical anchor for the patient’s entire recovery process.
Physical therapy is a core service for accident patients managing soft tissue injuries, muscle dysfunction, joint pain, and reduced range of motion. Our physical therapy team works in direct coordination with our providers, ensuring treatment plans evolve with the patient’s progress.
Osteopathic manipulative therapy (OMT) is a hands-on technique used by osteopathic physicians to diagnose and treat musculoskeletal dysfunction. It is particularly effective for patients recovering from whiplash, spinal strain, and the complex biomechanical disruptions that often accompany vehicle crashes.
SWAY testing and concussion therapy address one of the most frequently missed injury categories in accident care. Concussions and mild traumatic brain injuries do not always present dramatically in the immediate aftermath of a crash. Our concussion assessment and management protocol uses objective, technology-supported testing to identify cognitive and vestibular dysfunction that might otherwise go undetected and untreated.
Ultrasound therapy uses therapeutic soundwaves to penetrate deep tissue, promoting blood flow, reducing inflammation, and accelerating soft tissue healing in muscles, tendons, and ligaments commonly injured in vehicle collisions.
Phonophoresis is a treatment technique that uses ultrasound energy to drive anti-inflammatory medication through the skin and into injured tissue, combining the mechanical benefits of ultrasound with targeted pharmacological effect.
Electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) uses low-level electrical current to stimulate muscle contractions, reduce pain, decrease muscle spasm, and support neuromuscular re-education in patients recovering from crash-related injuries.
Medications on site. Rather than sending patients to a separate pharmacy after every visit, our Sand Springs clinic will have medications available on site, reducing the logistical burden for patients managing pain and inflammation during their recovery.
Who We Are Serving
The Sand Springs clinic will primarily serve patients from Sand Springs, Prattville, Berryhill, West Tulsa, Sapulpa, Mannford, and communities accessing the clinic via US-412 and the surrounding western Tulsa County corridor.
These are communities where drivers commute daily on corridors that carry a disproportionate share of the region’s commercial traffic, including heavy trucking from energy-sector and industrial activity throughout the area. Crash injuries in these areas are real, regular, and consequential. And the gap in local, specialized care has meant that injured residents faced an unnecessary burden: long drives to Tulsa during a time when managing recovery should be the priority.
We are also building relationships within the Sand Springs community. We are joining the Sand Springs Chamber of Commerce as part of our commitment to becoming a genuine community partner, not simply a clinic that opens its doors and waits for patients. We are actively looking for team members who are local to West Tulsa, who know these communities, and who can serve as trusted faces of TACC for their neighbors.
What This Expansion Means for Green Country Accident Care
Tulsa Accident Care Center’s expansion to Sand Springs is the continuation of a mission that has been at the center of our work since we opened: to become the most accessible, most trusted, and most complete accident recovery resource in Green Country.
We have built that reputation in Tulsa, Broken Arrow, and Owasso. Our patients have responded with more than 600 five-star Google reviews. They recover faster. They avoid the runaround of fragmented care. They get answers quickly, in one place, from providers who specialize in exactly what they are dealing with.
The Sand Springs community deserves the same.
No more 20-minute drives when your neck is stiff from a rear-end collision. No more being sent between an ER, a chiropractor, and a PT clinic with no one coordinating the whole picture. No more uncertainty about whether your injuries are being fully evaluated and properly documented.
When our doors open in May 2026 at 514 Plaza Court in Sand Springs, the western Tulsa corridor will have what it has needed: one accident. One clinic. One path to recovery.
